The International Women's Day, commonly known as Women's Day is celebrated worldwide on March 8, to commemorate the achievements of social, political and economic conditions of women, discrimination and violence which still Today, unfortunately, are subject in many parts of the world.
The origin of this international day is due to 'March 8, 1908, when 129 workers died, burned alive in an American factory: the factory owner, in fact, not accepting the strike of the workers to demand better working conditions, blocked all the exits, and fire turned the factory into a tragedy. This terrible event marked a turning point in the affirmation of women's rights, particularly women workers. In 1977
Unescu proclaims the March 8 International Women's Day.
That this is a day to remember, because women must be met every day of the year, without suffering any more violence or discrimination of any kind!
